jeff + andy say “I do”! hotel vetro, iowa city, iowa.

I find it nearly impossible to put into words the gloriousness that is this next wedding of my dear friends Jeff + Andy, so for now I’ll let the photos do the talking…  And see, you can’t even tell that I was bawling through the entire ceremony!  (I was born to multitask, baby.)  Thanks again to everyone who helped in celebrating the love between these two; it was such an honor to document every moment.  It definitely reached a ridiculous amount of epic.  j + a – enjoy St. Lucia!!  <3  also, a HUGE thank you to James, my Iowa photo buddy, who did an amazing job (again) and who made printing at the photo booth possible.  i do say, it was rather spectacular.  (post on that coming soon..)  until then ENJOY the peek!

it was a relaxing, calm and beautiful morning.  needless to say, things got colorful FAST.

why, yes, that IS an ER bracelet on jeff’s wrist… a great start to his own wedding weekend, right?  glad everything is ok!

instead of doing a First Look, they opted to get ready with each other as they have done for a decade, and what they will continue to do for the rest of their lives.  it was so sweet, and completely made sense for who they are, and for their wedding day.  as Andy explained when I asked him about doing a First Look, “we will have looked at each other 50 times already!”  i knew they weren’t going to make it easy on me. 

I loved their color combo, and the great textures and patterns with all the flowers and fabrics.

jeff + andy met in the U of I music program, so after seeing this newly painted bench downtown, I also knew I had to get this photo.  (Go Hawks!)

just a kickass wedding party rockingitout.  no big.  i love how the colors in the artwork behind them are reflected in the flowers, dresses + ties. some new grafiti in iowa city made me one happy photographer.  the minute i saw it i knew this photo needed to happen. I adore Hotel Vetro – a contemporary and modern space with clean lines, open spaces, and lots of great windows.  shoutout to karrie (kgawron@gmail.com) who designed their custom logo – didn’t she kill it with the programs, too? don’t you just hate when your gummy bears get stuck to your front teeth??  kennedy does. sean, jeff’s brother, did an excellent job as officiant for the day. the morning storm brought in some dramatic clouds, and provided fabulous light for the outdoor ceremony on the terrace overlooking the Ped Mall. yep, I definitely teared up again while editing these!  so much happy. a great start to a fabtastic wedding reception?  READY GO!  Prepare your eyes for lots of sick dance moves, singing, stretching, fanny packs, flip glasses, and even an impromptu zumba routine! outstanding form. like father, like son! a belly rolling contest broke out, don’tworryaboutit. these people were dedicated to FUN.  great success everyone!
